I'm trying to transition over from beef and pork eating to more fowl and fish. One of my favorites has been a few sausages in the morning. So SWMBO bought some ground Turkey at Giant.

I'd swear I could just about squeeze the water out of it. My memory of ground turkey in the past was that it was much "dryer".

Now I've noticed over the years that "fresh" turkey water content has crept up from 7% to 10% or 12%, water is cheap.

Are they doing the same with ground turkey?

I've been eating chicken, almost exclusively, for the last ten years. Fish at the local store is simply beyond my means and I would not spend that kind of money - even if I had it. Costco - troll caught King salmon - $28.95 per pound. Somebody, other than the fisherman, is making one h e l l of a lot of money here.

About a year ago I bought some turkey baloney at Costco. It was nasty - glad I only bought one package. Turkey hot dogs are even worse - didn't think it possible.

I DO like and buy Foster Farms chicken at Costco. Wonder why turkey is not packaged like chicken - I like turkey and think it would be good THAT way. Haven't seen fresh turkey around here.
