I had a dream about my dog not long after he died. He was running in some woods with two of his pack mates that died years ago. Each dog had its own person keeping it company. It was a very nice dream. Do I think it was real? Nah.

Silly guy, dreams aren't real.

Silly guy, dreams aren't real.

Dreams can sure soothe a bruised or broken heart. I have had more good dreams than bad.

Me too. I rarely dream bad. I also dream in vivid color. Down to the smallest detail.

Dreams may be more real than this reality you pretend is real. THIS IS the dream! Not the main event.

Which brings us back to 'what do you believe'?

Saw a quote on Facebook tonight, 'No religion is all based on truth, but truth can be found in all religions'. To each their own, only you can choose what you believe.

Dreams can be a very powerful thing...

There is one truth.

Facts change, truth doesn't.

I had a dream about my dad two nights ago... been 4 weeks since he passed (see post #100) and this is the first dream Ive had of him. The context of the dream is irrelevant, but what he clearly said means the world to me... "I'm OK now... " I woke up with a smile on my face. I called my mom that morning, and hearing this could not have come at a better time for her, she had a rough night herself, and was nearly sobbing when she answered the phone.

Im not a particularly religious person, but concider myself to be spiritually-aware, and not superstitious but open-minded enough... either way, not someone who pushes my thoughts and beliefs on anybody, take this as you will, I know what it means to me. Dad is OK now...

The day my father was laid to rest my wife and I had to go back to the church to get some flowers. It was around 6PM. Nothing abnormal about a summertime shower but I witnessed the ending of a double rainbow as we were leaving the church. It was 300 feet from my fathers grave. Was that a coincidence? Perhaps. But I've never seen it before.

That happened right after the song "Old Allis Chalmers Tractor" was played by request on Sirrus XM. I've never heard it played on Sirrus XM before either. It was requested. That happened while we were getting the flowers at the church. My dad sold Allis Chalmers for over 28 years. Was that a coincidence?

I'll let you be the judge. Things happen for a reason. I am religious.

Sorry for the loss of your father dieselcrawler. It still hurts after almost 2 years.
