Welcome from Pennsylvania. Your English is much better than my German would be! Great pics of the countryside and the tractors. The Porsche diesel looks interesting. I get over to Mainz quite often. Really enjoy biking along the Rhine and the beer and schnitzel.
Heck, his English is much better than most folks over here!!!

:welcome: from West Tennessee!

Why did you bury that deer? Have you seen any pallets in the fields?

The rest became many, many kilograms of tasty venison. The rack's in the Jagdzimmer (hunting room). That's a family friend who bagged it ... and it was admittedly a really extraordinary bag for our region.

Welcome from northern Ontario, Canada. Your English is way better than my German. Nice deer, too.

That photo is taken in front of the local Duke's place in my wife's hometown because all the local hunters held a little ceremony there (hence the vines around the head). We have our hunting licences and enjoy the outdoors, but live closer to Frankfurt and are decidedly middle class (the Gini Coefficient is different here Gini coefficient - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) ... or we'd need more than a BX-series!

Austria 2 1964.jpg

Willkommen!

I have friends and relatives in Germany and Austria... mostly Steyr, Ferguson and Fendt tractor owners.

My best memories were on the family dairy farm spending summers with the grandparents outside Salzburg... this is where I first learned to operate the Steyr 15.

I've asked around and could never find a single Kubota in Austria...

Nice to see one in Germany!

So many of the family farms I remember as a child no longer farm... people found it more profitable to get a job in the city and have Holiday time.

Hope to read more of your posts...

What a wonderful photo!

Kubota Deutschland appears to be an operation centered mostly around construction equipment, with a side business for weirdoes such as myself. There are a few big farms left around Frankfurt, and they all appear to run big Fendts AGCO - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia , John Deeres and Deutzes Deutz-Fahr - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia . That said, Europe has a thriving small tractor economy targeted toward smallholdings and vineyards. Lots of the implements for compact tractors are made in Italy or France and are pony versions of the big stuff Product Categories Implements .

There are lots of tractor clubs over here running the makes you mention. Termine - Traktorclub Friedrichsdorf/Taunus Porsche Diesels are highly sought after. Still lots of Unimogs used for agricultural work as well Unimog - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia .
