Had to replace the hydraulic pump (gear pump) on my 2555. When I removed the old pump, I found that the pump "spider" had disintegrated! So before I could install new pump, I had to order and wait for this part. Guess how much this part cost.

HINT: Read the label; MADE IN INDIA; MADE FROM PLATINUM

On the left is what was left that I got out, the rest, I assume, is in the oil pan. On the right is the new one. And yes, that is a genuine U.S. quarter!

I'll say $65 for the part and another $30-$50 to ship it to you.

I paid $65 for a Hydraulic fill plug for my 2538. Probably cost $0.26 to make.

I paid $16 & change plus shipping for the nut that holds the fuel sediment bowl on the fuel filter assy on my 4110. The threads on the original nut just disintegrated - not cross-threaded, just crumbled and eventually had very few threads left. I eventually had to do away with the whole filter assy and now just use an inline fuel filter and replace often.

Seeing that the part was engineered and made in Germany, travelled to India, and then repackaged and sent to you in California... you are probably about right with that platinum comment being that is currently $29.45/gram! For fun, I will take the 'over' on duffer's guess.

If you some tech details on your Spidex coupling...

I'm guessing that a genuine Canadian Quarter would have worked just as well...

and at a slightly lower cost.

Oh and I forgot to mention, that I had this part shipped "over night" because I had to have my tractor up and running due to a back log of work. Now guess how much to have this 50 lb. part shipped "over night" from Houston!

P.S. The correct price for this part is somewhere between Duffer's and RNeumann's !!

Since the part was made in India, or at least shipped from there, the Indian Rupee exchange rate is 70:1 to the USD.

So I'm going to re-guess at 12,000 Rupee.

Don't have any idea considering that this is the "toughest tractor on the planet" and made with probably the "toughest parts on the planet" !

............ and the correct answer is (drum roll please) $96.30 + $15.00 shipping (minimum UPS) and if you need it "over night".......(as I needed) hold on to your wallet! Just don't understand why companies refuse to send items like this via USPS which is far cheaper and just as fast if not faster!
So the bottom line is this highly engineered part cost me a grand total of $202.54!
.........thinking "3D" printer investment, could make "replicas" and sell for $95.00 each, a savings of $1.30 to the consumer!
