"I was shocked to see the prices on Ruger revolvers, no more the poor man's gun"
That is so true, not to long ago I bought a Ruger .357 with a 6" barrel for around the high two's.

Too bad every Ruger manufactured in the last 10 years has a horrible trigger group, absolutely clunky......

Sometimes I believe Strum Ruger wants it's firearms to be actuated with 2 fingers.

First thing happens here is the trigger comes out and gets reworked. I want a maximum pull of 2.5 pounds measured on the digital trigger pull gage for a handgun and 4.5 for a long gun.

Guns don't really cost anymore than they did 20 years ago. Your buck is worth less so it takes more.........

A couple things come to mind right off....

Firs:t a Class 3 stamp and a very complete FBI background check...

Second: Documented need for it....

Third: A big wallet.......

I prefer a more sporting long range weapon that is more about accuracy than putting (high buck) FMJ's down range willy-nilly.......

Like a Chey-Tack or a Barrett 50 or my favorite .338 Lapua Savage 110 BA or 111 LRH (I have both by the way....).

Here's something for we AR-15 fans:
Gunblast.com - Slide Fire SSAR-15 Buttstock - YouTube

I've done "bump firing" (that's done from the hip and is, IMHO, a waste of ammunition since you can't hit anything), but not with an AR-15.

Anyway, something to look at and maybe consider a purchase. Better buy soon though, I'm sure Obama's BATF (those lovable "Fast and Furious" guys!) will regulate this out of existence.

I take it you mean during Obama's second term......:)

I dunno...since we're now all "terrorists" in the government's eyes...they might not wait.

While those type of things are fun, and I must admit that I have pulled the trigger on a full auto AR15 more than once. When I have to start feeding full auto weapons is when my conservative side kicks in and money becomes an object. I think everyone should fire some full auto weapons at least once in their life, because it does put a smile on your face, but who can afford to feed them? Not me for very long anyway.. I guess the most fun I had with full auto was an AR15 lower with a dedicated .22LR rimfire upper with a suppressor on it.. Now that was fun and cheap to shoot. About all you heard was a little noise from the bolt slapping back and forth, and the tink tink of the bullets hitting some steel targets out there.. No hearing protection needed. but sure kept you busy loading mags.:) Of course us guys on the range were lined up a dozen deep waiting on our "turn"
