Back in the 70's I lived in Montana & almost everybody had a gunrack & rifles and / or shotguns in their pickup. We had one, too. Took a weekend trip to Canada, no weapons on board. Got to the border & the Canadian border guard asked "Where"s your gun?"

Yes for decades I had a gun rack in the back window. now the rack is on the front of the seat right behind my legs. 12 guage mossberg 500 loaded with buckshot. and I carry a 44 ruger black hawk. that not beer gut its a concealed horse pistol. too many nosy cops & thieves to openly carry it in the back glass now.
