GX345 Won't Start

This is what happened the first go around when I took the mower in. It ran 30 minutes. Stopped running and couldn't start it back up.

So when it happened the first go around, I called the dealer and took it in to be looked at. They determined that it was a carb problem so they then rebuilt the carb, new fuel pump, voltage regulator, new battery, and a full service (transmission service, oil and filter, air filter, sharpened blades, etc). Ran me 1000 bucks.

So I pick it up, got home and it wouldn't start. They didn't even put enough gas in it for me to get it off my trailer. So I put gas in it, and it still wouldn't start. Took it back they said there was "water" in the gas, they filled it up and it was good to go.

Started mowing today, made it about 30-45 minutes.....stopped running. Same thing it did the first go around before I took it in the first time. Any ideas?

Any chance there's debris in the tank that could be getting sicker up then floating away and plugging the fuel line. Or maybe put all new fuel line on it. It's getting some age I have seen the black fuel lines separate and not leak or anything but wouldn't flow fuel.

Check the main board that is mounted to the right of the battery. That board holds all the relays, resistors, etc and is prone to wearing out due to both heat and moisture. When they start to go you will get some of the symptoms you described. I've had to replace mine twice on my "non-GX" 345 (over the span of about 20 years though so not too bad IMHO!). The dealers usually want around $90 for them but you can find them online for cheaper. You can change it out yourself.

I would say it is the Time Delay Module. Go out and take a screw driver or something that you can "tap" slightly on the TDM and try to restart the tractor. If it starts, you found the culprit. However, lets go with that it may also be the ignition-module with the key switch attached. If it quits again, tap the TDM again and it is starts... we know for sure it's the TDM.

See this video of my mower this morning. This is a cold start after letting it sit all night. Starts but runs super rough amd seems to surge and died within 5 seconds.
