Harbor Freight 3-point quick hitch

I think its the vertical distance between the lift hooks and the top hook on the quick hitch. The top hook can be adjusted up and down to accomodated differences between implements.

Anyone else having problems fitting the hitch over the lift arm balls?

I just measured my hitch and it is darn near 1 3/8 inch. Or as close as I could get eyeballing it

I've had this problem on a couple of other devices, a couple minutes with a grinder or belt sander and it'll fit just fine. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Not to sound totally ignorant, but I think you are confirming the fitment issue solution. Earlier there was mention of cutting, widening and re-welding the QH frame itself, which sounded rather drastic. I'm going on the assumption all one simply needs to do is grind 1/16' off each outer side edge of each lift arm swivel ball for the HF Quick Hitch to slide onto the lift arms. I.e., the male part is too big for the female part. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Or am I missing something.?

dholly. Grinding the lift balls would work. This will allow less ball swivel than was originally provided. Im just not willing to modify my tractor to fit the implement - particularly when the mod would compromise the tractor rather than improving it.
