Here's a coupon for the HF Quick Hitch at $59.99 through Saturday 4/21/07. The coupon is for in-stock merchandise, so call first.

I posted to this thread because it already has answers for most of the QH questions. There are excellent photos in the last post before this one, and in earlier posts. It also has my description how to order the upper link adapter, and one showing where to see the ASAE Standard for QH-compliant implements.

Update to thread: I got the upper link adapter. It swings up or down to match each implement's upper pin height, which is good.

However I ended up making the upper hook height easily adjustable, by replacing its bolts with a couple of trailer hitch receiver pins. That works simpler than using HF's adapter. (See the HF bolts in photo PB040012, in JEW's post just above this one.)

There are a couple of photos showing my arrangement in this post:

Thanks for the coupon I just happen to be in Virgina over the weekend and made HF a stop, since there is not a store in CT. Based on all the input I am sure mine will work fine with some slight adjustment if necessary. Once again thanks "California ".

I had the same problem with the inside to inside width between where it hooks into the lower arms being an inch or so too narrow. All I did was take a bottle jack on its side with a piece of 2 x 4 between and moved them 1.5 or so inches apart. It was easy and worked like a champ.

Harris,

I also have an HF quick hitch. It fits great on my box blade and brush hog however it is too narrow for my 55 gallon sprayer. I tried the "bottle jack and 2x4 method" to widen it. The jack spreads it open fine, but when I release the jack, the arms just move back to their original position. Did you have to do anything other than the jack to get the arms to stay in the desired position?

No, I just spread it apart and it stayed there. I'm suprised yours is moving back.
