i also have the blue plastic and steel ones, those seem pretty good.

The key with those is to get the weight evenly distributed across the whole dolly and not have any point loads.

I have my HF welder (Mig-180, $25 used) on the small wood dolly. Getting the stinger cable that close to the floor gives fewer bends compared to tabletop so it feeds more smoothly. Recommended!

The weight needs to be evenly distributed across the carpeted sections and on top of the casters. The crossbars between are just that, crossbars/stringers, not intended to be weight bearing.

Yeah, that was the purpose of the wood blocks on top, to spread the load. I knew it was asking a lot. Re the other guy and pallets, I'll have to make a pallet for it, it's a 6' cutter. A normal pallet would just disappear underneath it.

Yeah, I knew that'd be a problem, which is why I added the extra board piece. The problem with the brush hog is that it kind of comes down to a point in front, it isn't perfectly flat when it's fully "down". So it's very much a point weight, and of course the skid is only about 2-ish inches wide in the first place.

No doubt I'll constructing something else long term, I'm just dealing with short term problems at the moment. Meanwhile, I still expected that those black-covered dolly pieces were, you know, actual lumber, with wood grain and long fibers. Not wood chips glued together in a 1/2 inch or less mash.

Our local Harbor Freight store is next door to Alro Steel.
I never go into HF. The place smells like Coronavirus.
Your experience may vary....

So tell us, what does it smell like? Inquiring minds want to know.... I kind of thought Al Glick's place had a smell as well (Alro Steel).... Ar least the main plant (Jackson) does.

My all time favorite HF tool that really sucks is their ductile twist drills. Total junk but unbreakable. They just unwind.

I had a couple of HF bits unwind long ago. Not recommended.

Or HF bits snap off. Twice I've tried to hog out a hole by wiggling the spinning drill, in soft material - sheetrock or something, hanging curtainrods - while using the drills with hex shank in a cordless screwdriver. Don't do that! Now I have two incomplete sets of HF's small hex shank drill bits. Real drill bits work better.

Punches are junk too.
