Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Do you mean this one ton shop crane?

This tire/wheel assembly is 200+ lbs, possibly more. Enough that it was spooky when I was rolling it around not attached to the crane.

This floor is very rough. Dad and I (as a teen) didn't know to go back and smooth the concrete again as it set up. (You can see one of the trowel ridges in the photo). Rolling a creeper under a vehicle is noticeably rough.

Rolling this crane with the tire was same as rolling the creeper, bumpy but it never needed extreme force.

My mistake, thought he meant overhead crane. I have one in the shop on an I beam that runs the length of the shop so I don't need one of those roll around ones. Has a HF wheeled trolley on the beam.

Thanks! I had thought grinding a concrete floor would mean hiring a contractor but a $179/day rental isn't too bad. Yes, PPE!

If you can find something like this it is much more comfortable and much cooler and easier to work in than any effective dust mask will be.
With a concrete grinder the dust will be hard on your eyes and plug up most dust masks quite rapidly.

You'll need a big fan, behind you, to push the concrete dust, ahead of you.

One of these.

I got my 42", two speed fan, at Northern Tool, several years ago. It moves a lot of air in low, and not real loud.

Thanks! I think the local rental yard has them.

Question - Can a rental concrete grinder be run wet? That's what I saw in South America where pretty much any commercial building has a concrete floor with embedded colorful stones, ground smooth. The machines looked like the powered concrete floats used here, 3 ft diameter or larger and run wet.

Lou I can't see a link or photo in your post. Is it just my ad-blocker or is something really missing? Sounds good, tell me more! Thanks.
