Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Just bought 4 ton and 20 ton hydraulic jack. Should I drain and replace the oil immediately?
Most things HF I try and change the grease/oil immediately.

And if so is regular tractor hydraulic fluid ok?

I can't think of any reason why you should change the oil but if you do, use hyd. jack oil.

Pretty much any oil should work fine in a manual jack. Engine oil, hydraulic oil, whatever as long as its clean. Even then most grit should settle to the bottom & just stay there. It's not like it's high precision or high speed like a HST. Less moving parts or precision than an old 8n that worked fine with oil from 50 odd years ago.

Maybe, maybe not. I use straight 30 weight non detergent motor oil. Same stuff goes in the pump on my pressure washer.

I brought back the pipe expander I mentioned earlier. My 1 star review still didn't post but I see new ones with 5 stars.

On the proper side of this thread I bought the tech cart and side table for a total of $160. Aside from the instructions the purchase looks like it will be a good one.

On my 6th or 7th year on the HF 2100 PSI gas pressure washer with the 6.5 horse Pred motor. Still runs like a top. Original plug. Clean the air filter foam every year and change the oil in the motor and pump every year too. Straight 30 weight non detergent in the pump and 15-40 Rotella in the engine. I did have to replace the hose with a new one. The hose finally gave out. Been washing farm tractors and implements and the cars and trucks right along. Excellent pressure washer.
