Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Acetone is great but the last time I used it smudged some decals and smeared some JD paint. I switched back to any other solvent from gas to paint thinner. Acetone is pretty powerful.

Yep, in my experience, acetone is way to hot for cleaning enameled or lacquered machinery surfaces, as it can quickly dull the gloss. I stay with mineral spirits for packing grease removal. On bare metal, acetone is great for removing all traces of oil and grease.
No argument here but I think it is great stuff when handled properly. Sometimes no doubt it is overkill but for cleaning especially bare metal I don't think it can be beat. Highly recommended when metal bonding with many epoxy/acrylic adhesives.

I bought the adjustable wrench that you said was nice to use on BX and B series top links and side links.
Six dogs or Bullitt, I thought I read the post describing it but can't find it now... please post specifics again.

Yup, that's the one. Got it at Harbor Freight when on sale and used 20% off coupon to sweeten the pot.

It is not that common to see to see an adjustable wrench that short but yet open up to 1.5.''

Here's something that doesn't suck because the price is right. It's a 9 piece set of high polish wrenches for $5.99. The price shows as $8.99 below but there's a current coupon for April at the $5.99 price.

Search results for: '9 pc polished wrench set'

There are SAE and metric and get a solid four star rating. For the price, they don't suck because you can toss them in a tractor toolbox or use in the rain, snow or deep in the woods and not worry about the loss if there is one. Actually, they are pretty nice wrenches.

Agreed sixdogs. I've even gotten the ratcheting wrenches and am equally pleased with those. Sure we all need a very good set but for the times mentioned and more, they're good enough.

I'm impressed with how HF have upped their game on wrenches. They not only fit the fasteners, but they are strong and well finished and did we mention still cheap?

Ahhh, I remember the old days when the wrenches didn't always fit the nut. Wrenches were like a box of chocolates...
