Hard wired inverters

They say have the wattage requiremets listed on my Coleman inverter for rechargeable drills. I don't think their will be any problems. I have used it to charge my cell phone with no ill effects.

Be cautious of DeWalt rechargables with an Inverter. I almost set my house on fire with one. I'm not sure exactly what the interaction was , but the result was a sizzling hot, venting battery. My new Makita gear, on the other hand, works fine.

Spence,
That is something I have not tried. I do know that some things can be sensitive to the modified sine wave these inverters put out. Most of my use is with brush type power tools plus the compressor 115 volt, 10 amp motor. These all seem to operate normally. I sometimes plug in a fan, which works fine but has a little whine in it.

This is also on my TrippLite inverter, but I suspect the Coleman PMP2000 is the same type current.
