Has any one considered a Japanese Mini?

I've seen a few of these and they're all right hand drive, how hard are they to adjust to, are any of these left hand drive? I have seen one Cushman that was left hand drive, they are probably made by someone else.

mostly all are rhd imported from Japan. There are some lhd that were made for the US (not street legal) market, mainly military base vehicles (late '80s-mid 90s and 4wd models are rarer). I had two lhd that were originally at Disney in Orlando. The US made vehicles have a speed-odometer that goes to 25mph. They are not hard to drive ... the hardest part is remembering to get in on the right side.

I believe the Cushman was made by Mitsubishi ... at least i has a Mit. running gear

Parts? A sponsor is on the first page of this ATV Forum ... GR Imports ... everything from front lens covers to tail light lens covers and everything in between. I just got a set of doors for an '89 Daihatsu from them. Ordering a carb. for a 93 Suzuki and a rebuild kit or motor for a '95 Subaru this week.

Check ebay motors ... search mini truck parts ... lots of choices.

Pricing? Mine start around 5K for a 4wd, lifted, & upgraded off wheels and tires (around 50,000 miles on a 100,000 mile truck).

New around 14K for 4wd, ps, ac, heat, 5 speed.

The right hand drive is not that big of an issue except remembering to get in on the right side.

They are gasoline engines. This class of truck requires a max 660cc in Japan. The are rated at around 45hp, 40mpg, and idle at approx. 1 pint/hr.

The next class is 1000cc max. and they are either gasoline or diesel. These engines have not been certified by the EPA and are not allowed in the country.
