If I'm not mistaken, Tractor Supply Co. used to sell box blades made by Wallace (and several other Wallace made implements), but their current models are made by King Kutter.
Wallace is the house brand of Wallace Wholesale Hardware from TN. They have a web site wallacehardware.com. The stuff I have seen at my local dealer looks very similar in quality and finish to King Cutter, which I would categorize as nothing more than middle of the road. At $299, you are getting what you pay for.
I have a Wallace bucket mount round bale spear that I got at TSC some years back. It's very robust. I have punished it beyond belief. It's still straight although I have had to weld on the support frame a few times. Not from moving bales, from using it as a hoist point.
I kind of thought that the company was owned by the family of George Wallace!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I have a 5' Wallace box blade and a Wallace carryall. I purchased both of these at Rural King. The box blade is nowhere near as heavy-duty as say a Woods or other top-of-the line brand, but it suits my needs very well. The paint was a little thin in places, so when I get time I'll give it a new coat or orange to cover the red. I believe I got mine on sale for arond $259 a year ago.
