I don't have one for my tractor, but my wife named our tahoe, Bertha.

we call our 2002 ford F-350 "bulldog" because it sits on 22.5's and has a custom grill and when you look at it from the front it looks like a bulldog. And besides which it's as tought if not tougher than a bulldog....

BUILT FORD TUFF

We call our mahindra "big red"

My name is Putt_Putt_Green, and I am a John Deere 3520. I get my owner who worships the ground I ride on to type messages for me all the time on this forum. I call my owner, "He who pays the bills for my existance". Yeah, its a little long, but the truth is what it is.

Way back when, some car company had a vehicle called a ForeRunner, and not to be outdone, some other one had a PreRunner.

Well, I named my beat up old pickup truck "DumpRunner".

Somehow, the name has stuck, and as one truck gets retired, or more likely, dies in harness, its replacement inherits the name. The current Dumprunner is a 2000 F-150. Not really old enough yet, but a few more seasons of driving through the brush at deer camp will put the right patina of scratches on the paint...

1925 NH = Babe (the little blue ox from Paul Bunyan)
555C Ford Backhoe = Lil, the village queen the uhhhm family part, you have ever seen... (she was going to be named Roxanne (as in the police song) but in Deference to Rox on the boards here we had to go a bit further in the memory banks to a Sinai Ditty)
743 Bobcat = He was the "wheelie monster" for a while, but lately some old memories have been with me a bunch and he is now Kabukie Bob. (very stylized japanese Dance performed by fat white guys) The whole explanation is very long, but a close freind of mine was called Kabukie Bob, and my son was Kabukie Boy. Makes us think of him now whenever we get out there and run it.

The part that is different for me then most is the ownership of the equipment. It is the running joke, (would be a bit funnier if it was not true) that all the equipment belongs to my wife, untill it breaks. Then it is Mine. The first phone call comes "come get your tractor" (I know it is broke at that moment) Or "your tractor wont start" then next call will be "when will you be done with MY tractor" because she needs it back.

My '76 Chevy pickup is named Gertrude but we mostly call her Gerty.

A buddy had a '73 Fury that he called "the Lincoln". It wasn't safe for highway travel so therefore it was just a town car. :)
