You need to check with the RTV/ATV dealers I know they are made for them.

you are going to need loaded tires and chains on one axle at least with slope mowing situation

Bobcat has them as an attachment to their Toolcat.

The dealer just delivered it.....

I don’t think a ventrac with loaded duels, and chains is needed for 25 degrees. This hill is 17 degrees. IMG_4349.JPG

I have a B2710 Kubota and a finishing mower on it probably would be fair for visibility but if you go to much more in tractor size do not think you will have the vision you think you will. If you can not see the front edge of a fel bucket on the tractor probably will have issues with seeing the mower on the front. Then the mower may extend further than the bucket does. Before you spend real money on suggest you get measurements and lay a board or such on the ground as far out as the front of the deck will be. Have your wife sit on the tractor to see if she has any issue seeing the board. Now you can raise the board the height the top of the deck would be for that will help but if any issue in visibility.

You have not to me really address the hyd capacity such a mower will require for think you will find the tractor's system will not supply it. Be totally sure the capacity your can depend on from one outlet for the mower. You will need extra capacity for those real heavy spots you hit or such. Also as the systems wears capacity will be lost with pump and the hyd motor. It is not as neat a system but you may find a mower with its own engine is most cost effective.

I have a hay accumulator I use on much larger tractor than you would be considering here but it extends over seven feet in front of the fel itself. Still have hard time have clear view of it. It is about seven feet wide and the loader arms cover some of the needed side view. Realize these are not numbers you will be working with but for finishing mower around trees, shrubs and such in your yard would assume you wish to keep a clear view of the front and sides of the mower is required. Then would think you need mower wider than the fel frame for it to cover the rear wheels. But maybe you are not mounting on fel and will have tractor with front three point hitch. Could not imagine not being able to raise the mower for transport.

One issue think you may run into with mower on front esp compared to a rfm is the blow back on the operator. Think the only negative have heard on a true front mount mower, of course a lot of this may vary with the lawn you have and the exact mower. No idea if a rear discharge would help or make this worse. Never run a rear discharge in finishing mower.

Do not thin trying to discourage you, have taken two boom mowers and built mine. Had to make some parts and buy new pump and some valves as use the tractor's hyd to operate the boom and not the old valve assembly that were mounted on the mower itself. Trying to help with things that are easy to not think on and will make you go...oh boy...

Hello MG Hoosier,

you have not mentioned if you have a winch for your ATV Mule or if it is possible to mount on on the frame,

The Erskine front mounted 3 blade trail mower is powered by a hydraulic motor which requires a power pack that is put in the rear box of the UTV.

You can find these tow behind mowers at mowers direct, acre ease, swisher, dirty handtools, northern tool etc.

It would take a lot of welding to convert them to front mount if you really want to have a front mount trail mower with a side discharge.

The big issue for you is the amount of traction/adhesion you will need to operate the mower and if you have an area that is very hard to mow it may be worth your while to invest in weed fabric and weed fabric staples to cover the area and still let moisture penetrate the ground.

Even if you are able to mow this area you may end up needing a portable winch with a winch cradle which mounts in a 2 inch receiver on the rear to pull the atv and mower out.
