You can clearly see the PLASTIC floorboard in John's picture. Notice the weldment that extends from the frame under the floorboard. This tubular weldment has a sheetmetal pad that supports the PLASTIC floorboard. I think JD should ask Yanmar to substitute metal for that plastic thingy. Plastic may be good but this crosses the line. As I stated in the the other post, this is not the way the 4110 or 4115 are configured. The turfs on this unit look normal, maybe those were some kinda optional special purpose R4 tires on the one I saw, the front tire looked like a bicycle tire--less than 4 inches wide!!!!!!!! . J

Now this is the kind of info I need...thanks /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Just checked the JD <A target="_blank" HREF=http://configurator.deere.com/servlet/com.deere.u90947.eproducts.view.servlets.EProductsHomeServlet?userAction=&sbu=CCE&lang=en&country=us>Config-you-gonkulator</A> and its lists the R4 fronts for the 4010 as 5.7-12 as compared to the front R4s for the 4115 as 8.5-12. Interesting..../w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

We can put this baby to bed for me, at least. Not because of the tires mind you, but I've concluded that I'll need a second tractor when one of these land deals comes together. It'll be at least 4115-sized and I doubt I'll need a belly mower.

I am interested to see how the lineup progresses, though. Just out of curiosity.

Here's to swimmin' with bow-legged wimmen' /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Gee, Tres after reading all the info on this site, I am sure glad I could not wait and got a 4100. I am about at 30 hours and it is still fun! I still wish i had a folding ROPS though. Maybe I will get brave one day and have some very proficient welder make mine into one.

Nuru, glad to hear from you. Yes, I think you did good with the 4100. Don't think I am saying the 4110 and 4115 are not good tractors but I am with you, I like the 4100 better for some odd reason. I am sure out there somewhere someone has a 4010 and they are going to be highly PO'd at me for saying what I said above. I do not believe in running others guys tractors down and I suspect that while I will never buy a 4010 there will be people who do and they are going to like and enjoy their purchase and I wish them well.
Yes, bigpete, you are beginning to mature in your tractor thinking in the same manner I have. I see you are thinking about a TRACTOR--one without a belly mower at all and keeping or getting a seperate mowing machine. I am still stuck in the jack of all trades swiss army knife thinking and I think anything larger than a 2410/4100 would be darn lousy with a belly mower. If I could move beyond that mindset I would want a Kubota 3410--no belly mower and keep my BX for mowing or get a little Cub Cadet mower. I will tell you though that the 2410 is darn impressive little machine and I guess I can make do with it /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif . I got a bunch of sand delievered so we can build a 40 foot long brick walk. I was able to get the 2410 in very close to the house and bust up the hard clay and dig it out without hitting the house or knocking anything down--amazing for me. J

"Oh, the 4210 and larger were very sturdy looking, metal floorboards, very nice fit and finish, same plastic hood and yuk--plastic fenders, 3-point to pull a battle ship with. These were nice looking tractors and the X90 series stuff there was quite impressive as well."

The 4210 is a very comfortable machine, the load adjustable seat is sweet . I just wish I had more land, its just a little too big for 2 acres with lots of opstacles. John

Good luck on your land deal, the only thing with wooded lots in Delaware if you plan to build on them make sure they perc. The old time farmers say its wooded for a reason, but if all else fails it would make for some good Deere Huntin! John
