Has anyone used AI to help select a tractor?

We've poured through the brochures, created spreadsheets and contacted TBN, but has anyone used AI to narrow the choices?

I have not, but it sounds interesting. I did try AI at writing snowplow and landscape contracts a few years ago, and did get some valid improvements to mine.
I have bought a few tractors over the years, but being "brand loyal" my decision process was not overly complicated.

Why on earth would you need AI when you have TBN?

I don't see how AI could pick a tractor for YOU. There are too many subjective factors. How a tractor "feels" to you is important. There are things you can't tell until you actually sit on and use a tractor.

This post peaked my interest yesterday on what kind of results it would give you. AI Actually recommended the tractor I bought (Kubota L series). But then when I asked it what the differences between a Kubota L2501 and L2502, it basically said the 2502 had 1HP more, was heavier, had more creature comforts than the 2501. And that if the 2501 was too light for my needs, then I should consider moving up to the 2502.

I'm not sure you even need t use AI. Just say "I wonder which new Compact Tractor I should buy" in your home or in your car, and you will start receiving popup ads. Something is always listening!

I wouldn't trust any AI conclusion on tractor selection since it would almost certainly tell you to buy an EV tractor for the climate benefits or wait until they are more readily available. Given who winds up programming the AI algorithms, there will (almost certainly) be a bias against anything that uses fossil fuels. IMO

If I used AI I am pretty sure it would say to not buy a tractor, sell the equipment I have, and move to a subdivision with a small yard instead.

AI would probably pick my perfect tractor and the dealer would be 200 miles away.
AI needs to mature more before I would have any confidence in it.

I would rather shop around and get a feel for what is best for me.

I never have but it would work, I have play around with AI, and you have to be careful with it because it will spit out everything on the net so it's not all true, you have to interrogate it and make sure it spit out true fact or try to trick it to see if it will contradict itself ... I have used it get list of tires that would suit my needs as a examples, you tell it your criteria and it will give you a list of choice and explain why these choice is good for you... its a tool but not absolute, you have to double check it. Or simply used it to find where you can find certain information... but I like it because its quick and can help narrow down your search.
