Don't forget the stick on the hoe. You still have a maximum height of 13'6" to deal with.

Right, right, I'll have to measure, but I don't think the stick is higher than 8' and the bed is around 4' so it should be fine.

Height is going to be a issue. I would look into farm plates. No weight limitations, no cdl, no inspection, no med card, ect. Here in Indiana we are allowed to travel 150 miles from the registration address as long as we don't cross state lines.

I don't think height is going to be an issue as this is a low profile tractor without a cab.
The farm plates are good idea, but I'm planning to do jobs for other people too so I might not be eligible.

Get the CDL and just make life simple!
I used to drive a single axle dump truck hauling a medium size Hoe on a trailer. I had to put the digger bucket in the back of the truck for it to fit.

I don't want to get a CDL right now, so I need to make this work without.
There's gotta be a 26K truck out there with a 20' dump bed and no more than 15-16k empty weight, I can feel it :)

We have a F 700 dump with a 12' Monroe box. It had a 12,300# empty weight. It's a 391 gas motor. My neighbors brother has a 77 Case 560 Contraction King. No way it's going in the bed.

By the way our F 700 dumps bed is 5 feet plus from the ground. I just loaded it yesterday with fire wood. And the 560 will not go into my pole barn with 12' door. No cab on it either.

I can pull it easily behind my F350 though and he pulls it behind a 2500 Dmax.

Check your measurements. I can't see it fitting due to dipper height or overall width.

You'll need to look for one with a gas motor and a pretty light bed then. I have a C60 Chevy with a 14' grain box and a 350 gas motor and it weighs 11K. My father has a 4700 IH with a 14' flatbed dump with 4' sides and the DT466 motor and it weighs 15.5K. Both are 25K GVWR models.

I would get a Class A CDL it never hurts to have another licensees to fall back on and loading one in the back of a truck is real dangerous if a hydraulic hose brakes or a pin brakes you are in trouble that is a lot of weight things can go wrong in a hurry. But you are on the right road looking at a bigger truck first.

i have a similar sized MF backhoe, and there is no way that is going in the bed of an SA dump truck; especially a small one like an f800 or less. i haul mine on a 24ft HD rollback truck, and the hoe hangs 5+ft off the back of the deck.

how do you get it up in there? (other than climbing it up and in)
how do you chain it down?
is the loader bkt going to be up over the cab?
what kind of tailgate does the dumper have?

please report to the "people hauling stuff wrong" thread
