Anyone haul a baler before? I've towed them plenty of times but for a longer haul I want to trailer it. NH 575 sizes baler. The trailer is mostly likely going to be a deck over wheels power tilt gooseneck. The baler is wider than the trailer. I'm not sure the width of the tires on the 575 but I think it's got to be 9 feet which is about a foot wider than the deck on standard width trailers.

The local baler market is pretty high priced, but if a run 4-5 hours away the price drops a bunch - even 2 hours drive time would get me saving enough to justify the haul.

I'll make pin on wing sections for the trailer that will go into the stake pockets with rub rails, then simply back the baler onto the trailer.
That'll work. Then if needed remove the wheel and/or block it up, but I bet I could just leave it as is and just tie her down.
I bet I could even kitty/corner it and make it narrower.

How long is the haul? One of my neighbors bought a baler the size you're into and hauled it about 350 miles from Fresno to Red Bluff CA. Took the back roads. No problems.
whew 350 miles huh - I might do that. I don't know yet how long the haul is as I haven't bought one yet. Just getting ducks in a row in case I find a good one. I might wait until after 1st cutting see if anyone got mad at their baler and bought a new one lol
I've towed balers before with the pickup, it really sucks: *bang-bang-bounce-slam-bang-bounce* especially when the wheel bearing fails and the wheel has a race with the truck..and wins. (been there done that)
I'll pack tools to do a bearing repack, and maybe some new wheels/rubber, but buying used you really got no idea what you'll find until you get there.
If it was a 1000 miles I haven't the patience to not do 70 down the interstate.
It's almost 20 feet long, that's a lot of overhang lol
I'd be better off just backing it on the trailer if I had a wing on one side to hold up the light side of the baler, it's 10 feet wide ish.
