Kubota B3200
Afternoon all,

I scratched the 7800 and went to the dealer on Sat. and test drove b3200 and b2920. After much debate i dropped the mmm on the 3200 and made the deal for the 3200TLB. (which i can change if call sales guy on tues morning). I am still thinking of going with the b2920 as it is smaller, should handle what i need to do. Once i sat on them side by side i could really feel the difference.
The b3200 (to me) is a lot larger in height not in so much in width and length. I know this will be my first tractor and all and have alot of concern as to stabilty of one vs other. I have got a lot of work to do on the 6 acre's and it's about 2/3 hilly in area's i will be using. I understand i am getting more loader and bh capacity with the b3200. Most area's i should be able to get either tractor into. I'm kinda stuck as to trying to go with finding used bushog, mower, etc for the 3200 or getting the 2920 with pull behind mower or bushog for the same price. I on the other hand don't want to limit attachment size as the 3200 seems to be able to take larger one's and kick myself later for not getting the bigger machine for the power if i need it. Need to move a lot of rock and tree stuff, some stumps when needed and clear path's where old fence line was and remove old trash as we found one section was used as old family dump.(just my luck!)Once path's are cleared will then need to mow. I understand when you folk's say by your 2nd tractor 1st and i guess i just nervous as to making the wrong choice for myself.Too little!, too much! Any insight would be helpful.

Thank's

It's tough when you come right down to the wire sometimes. When I bought mine, the B3200 wasn't out, and the choice for me between the B7800, and B2620 was more clear. If I wanted primarily a TLB, I would choose the B3200, and not look back. If I wanted to mow with a finish mower, I would choose the B26/2920. Loader capacities are really pretty close on both size B's, and the B3200 buckets, forks, etc. will fit on a B2x20 series. Attachment size is a consideration, and I find myself second guessing choices in implement size for mine, and know I would just choose 5' implements for the B3200, and not be concerned. I like the size of my B2620, and honestly think that it has enough hp to do anything a tractor that size will do easily anyway, but I think you might be a bit more happy in the long run with the B3200. Make sure you drive them both before signing..... there are differences in the engines, transmissions, and perhaps pedal configuration etc. that you should experience to be more sure. For example, I like the split pedal on my B2620 much better than the treadle pedal on the B3030, and the "hump" on the B3030 makes it harder for me to use the pedal when doing work in reverse.

I encourage you to operate both tractors up to their PTO speed and drive them around before you decide. My B3200 is a great tractor but mainly because of it's 4cylinder engine it does vibrate rather significantly when above 2000 rpms, and this can be felt in the fwd hst pedal. This vibration maynot be an issue for you, but it's better to find out now rather then later.

Best of luck on your purchase decision!

I have a B3200 and we have been discussing the vibration issue on this forum. I don't think it's in all B3200's. In fact I don't think many people have found this issue in their B3200. Try the one you are going to buy if you can and see for yourself. Mine does not viberate more than normal at 2000 rpm but vibration does increase some at 2200 to 2300rpm but I don't think to an unreasonable or bothersome amount.

I don't really see how either choice could be wrong as they're pretty similar. That said, if you get the 2920 you may always wonder if you would have been happier with the 3200. Buy the 3200 and you'll soon know you made the right decision!

I took back a 2920 for the 3200. Today I took out 24 fence posts, about 15 buckets full of old mulch and general clean up around my buddies 6 acres he just got. I was very happy with the 3200 and I am glad I have it and so is my buddy lol. It is just a matter of time before he gets his own kubota. I am going to plant some trees tomorrow at my place and bush hog with a 5 foot land pride I just got. I also noticed today more vibration over 2200 rpm but I dont really need it up that high unless I am going to use the pto. For me I wanted the bigger bucket and increase in lifting offered by the 3200. Otherwise both are very close. I hear the backhoe on the 3200 is far supeior but Im just messing around with it so either would probably have been fine for me.

Good Luck! either one of these tractors beats no tractor at all. Just ask my buddy that gave up taking out his fence posts after just 2 posts by hand.

Try driving a B2320 Direct Transmission before you finally decide.

I just drove one saturday and I could not believe how nice it was.
That thing is a brute with the manual transmision.

I have BX24 with the same HP engine but HST.
The B2320 with direct transmission could pull 3 BX24's in a tug of war (and maybe 2 B2320's with HST).

The salesman says a B2320 DT can do more heavy work than a B2920. And about $5K cheaper.

Thank's to all for your input !! I will for sure check out the vibration issue when i go to dealer. I will be going with the B3200.

If you are working much on your lawn. I couldn't imagine anything much heaver than my 2920 with a MMM. In fact I have decided to keep my Zero turn because of this. And if I was to do i again I wouldn't get the MMM and would save my money. These are NOT lawn mowers...And they just don't mow as nice as a Simplicity

I am perfectly satisfied with the mowing quality of my B2620. Some areas don't come out great, but it's because of the terrain and not any fault of the machine.
