Woodsman,
It's a male bonding thing, get it? And besides, it helps us in keeping from asking stupid questions like what kind of tractor do you have and what type of engine is in it. General location is a big plus because there are also climatic considerations in most cases.
Sometimes replying to an ambiguous post will ferret out more useable information.
Most folk don't have a chip and just like to help out, but alas, some don't.

I don't see where posts on this site have anything to do with "male bonding". Are female tractor owners excluded because they can't "male bond"?
If a Chinese tractor owner has a legitimate question about problems with his\her tractor, he\she should be more specific about their problem rather than posting an ambiguous question like daveholcomb did. He also does not have any information in his "profile", nor did he reply to my post asking for more detail about his problem.
If I have a problem with my tractor you can be sure that I will post all revelent info about make, model, hours and anything else that would help other members in diagnosing my problem.
As far as having a "chip", I have noticed that certain members do certainly have a "chip" and try to run rough-shod over other posters with their posts.
greg certainly didn't hesitate to jump all over me with his reply to my post. Is this "male bonding"?

Thank you Woodsman, duly noted.

BTW, Greg does not have a chip, it is just his succinct manner. He is a veteran of several BBS's that I know of. Been around longer than I and still keeps on tickin'.

Hey Dave, Welcome to TBN!

You'll get lots of useful advice here plus some mildly entertaining drama.

I would add to Bob's line of thinking and say change the few oz. of oil in the injector pump since it may get diluted with fuel if not changed regularly and in my experience the governor can act squirrly when that happens.

By all means follow up with some more details of what you have and how the problem was/wasn't resolved so we all can learn from your experience.

I prefer bonding with the female species :D but I'm not going to make any suggestions or judgments ;)

Just to ask, what is a BBS?

They used to call forums bulletin boards. I've been playing around with computers since 1972 and I honestly don't know what the s stands for, system? We used to call them BB's.

The original poster must have found the rock lodged in the linkage.

I haven't been at it quite that long, only going back to the days of the ARPANET and DDN. But I do know that the "S" in BBS simply stands for "System".

My guess is that all the OP saw the thread slide away from his tractor question, and simply went elsewhere for help

BBS stands for Bulletin Board System, and/or Bulletin Board Service.

1) (Bulletin Board System) A computer system used as an information source and forum for a particular interest group. They were widely used in the U.S. to distribute shareware and drivers and had their heyday in the 1980s and first part of the 1990s, all before the Web took off. A BBS functions somewhat like a stand-alone Web site, but without graphics. However, unlike Web access via one connection to the Internet, each BBS had its own telephone number to dial up.

JJ is correct. I thought everybody knew that. I guess that really dates me.
Man, I wish I had that much hair like that! :)

Greg,
I think the OP is already onboard under another handle. No big deal.
