Have these people ever heard of loctite?

Loader mount and Backhoe mount bolts are to be checked every 20 hrs for the first 100 hrs. Remember the hardware is stretching. That is what is causing the nuts and bolts to come loose. I've loctited BH mount bolts from new and when the unit came in for its 50hr service the bolts were loose. The nuts were still locked to the bolts but I could spin them in there holes.:confused3:

Yeah I know I'm just getting about 20 hours on it and have already gone through all the blot checks once. It would be nice if they'd at least use weld nuts. I don't think they'd loosen up so much with weld nuts and loctite. At least the nuts couldn't get lost and it would be much easier to keep everything tight (one wrench instead of two and some difficult to access). It would even speed up assembly so the cost would be recovered instantly and probably make money from labor savings. You know if they do it on cars it has to pay off, those guys don't miss any cost saving tricks. Using weld nuts is easily automated and you can get bolts with thread lock already on them. Win, win, win. For the price I paid for this thing, I expected to get a complete tractor not a DIY kit that I had to keep reassembling to get any use or work out of it. If I'd bought it for a business enterprize, it would likely be on it's way back already.

Well I dug around and found where the other missing nut went. It was one of six that hold the seat mechanism down. This was installed as part of the backhoe kit. Of the six one was missing the nut which I had recovered from the driveway and three of them were just finger tight. Of the six only two were tightened as they should be. After getting the big 1", inch and a half drive backhoe nut back on, I looked around the tractor a little closer. It seems that Mahindra uses a lot of weld nuts on the tractor itself but not KMW the people who make the backhoe and loader.

So far my only trouble seem to stem from the West Coast Mahindra distribution center in Olivehurst, CA not doing things the way they should. Fasteners not tight, the gorilla with a hammer etc. Mahindra would do well to have some words with those folks before it starts costing them sales. So much for made in America.

Of course they had nothing to do with the inop from birth temp gauge which still isn't fixed. All I know is it isn't the sensor and the sensor is hooked up to something somewhere. I think it's connected to the ECU and the ECU drives the gauge but that is only a guess.

every nut/bolt on my tractor had a 'witness' mark put on it to signify that it had been checked. Ive checked them all myself and none went loose.

My 2008 Kubota had the witness marks, the new 2016, not a one. Must have eliminated that guys job....

Yeah I see a bunch of witness marks on mine too but there were none on these big bolts that hold the backhoe on nor on the seat. I wouldn't expect to see any on the little 12mm things that hold this and that on but I would expect those big ones to have had someone do some kind of double check. They look to be the largest fasteners on the entire machine.
This is a pretty new distribution center so they have some shaping up to do yet. A little of the DI treatment probably wouldn't hurt. Remember them?

17 and around here, anything over 5000 people is a city.

This seems to be a common topic with Mahindras, but why would their nuts and bolts behave any different than anyone else? Maybe everyone else is using Loctite?

I'm not sure it's brand specific. Reading through the forums they all seem to have something from time to time. I've got a Mahindra and love it. This little beast holds its on around here with no buyers remorse. It starts, works, and does it all over again. QC seems to be something all companies could and should strive to be better at. These things ain't cheap and to be honest, some of the guys around here spend more than what my house is worth and shouldn't have any issues but they do. It all falls back to a reputable, and good dealer standing behind what hardworking Americans put there hard earned dollars up for.

Wow there are a whopping 31 thousand souls in Gillette or about half of Cheyenne, #2, where I once lived.
While I live close to what they call a city, with only 3000 souls it sure ain't no city which is why I like it. There are about 13 thousand in the town next door and that's barely tolerable. I've lived in too many cities for too long and don't wanna live in any more of them. No matter where they are, I've found that all cities suck. They attract and concentrate all the undesirable elements so the bigger they are the more they suck. I recommend you stay in the country and smaller towns where people tend to be decent and you have some elbow room.
