Happens once or twice a year, the pasture goes under by a foot or two in places.....heck i look at it as free fertilizer!

No, we're talking 10-12' over the river banks. Hay and corn fields being condemned due to e coli. Trailers and houses and garages washed away. 1000's more with flooded basements. We had 1 marina that lost it's docks and 70+ boats, most were saved several miles down river. We had 9" of rain in the month of June, normal rainfall is under 4", and that came after a wet May.

I'm just a couple of miles from the Clinch river, and the locals say it can get mean and ugly real quick with too much rain. I'm lucky my creek isn't big enough to flood more than a few feet above its banks, but it does get annoying. I feel for those folks affected in the NE with all that water.
