I was shocked to see how they (your legislators) folded so quickly. I guess the big cities have spoken for all the county folks once again.
Totally sickening how the rural people will suffer in your State. I can't imagine those who live in the remote area's will fair, now that they can
no longer buy ammo on line ect. and have to toss their clips. A 10 22 Ruger 22 caliber has a 10 round clip and I don't believe they come any less than that.
Your new laws have the cut off at 7 rounds, I believe.
I hope you remember your legislators come election time..

The way i read it is you can have ur 10 rounders, its just a mistomeanor if your caught with anymore than 7 loaded??

As of a few weeks ago the store a few towns away had plenty of ammo. Defensive rounds and a few plinking ammo boxes. I bought 50rd eagel federal boxes for $17/50 rounds. I bet they had it last week too?

On the NYS web-site;they announced the "list of assault weapons",I don't see any .22 calibers other than AR15 variants,no "normal pistols" with ten round mags.All AR's ,AK's,tactical shotguns,machine type pistols(UZI ,Mac ect.)

I thought that they banned anything over 7 rounds in anything period other than say tube fed 22s?

So are you saying that i can still legally use an AK with a 10 round clip it just has to be only loaded with 7 rounds???

Not to be confused with the pending Federal proposal.The way I understand it (NY),no new sales of listed assault
weapons with ten round mags.Existing(grandfathered) may use ten round mags loaded with only seven rounds.
Grandfathered listed weapons must be registered my April 2014.No revolvers,tube fed rifles ect. were listed.Again no ten shot(NY Reg) pistols were listed,example Glock,S&W,Springfield.I just checked the linked NYS site that listed "assault weapons" and it is not working............I hope they are not changing.The bigger headache is going to be the ammunition side,back-ground checks on all sales.

I shoot competitive pistol.. so I maintain a stock of a "few" months of supply.......
I am really worried as I recently noticed that I dippped into the double digits in powder weight and 5 digits of primers....

I too keep a backlog of powder and primers. from your numbers.. I'd say we are storeing close tot he same amounts.

If ammo stays scarce a year.. that will heavily eat into my storage...

trying going bird hunting ( waterfowl ) with a shotgun with no plug and a 5 round tube mag, but only have 3 loaded.

heard some dem US senator on FOX saying that he wanted back ground checks on ammo!! What about reloading componets, would it be on powder and or primers?? He also said that we need "to outlaw polymer tipped bullets"? Why there no more deadly that lead tipped? That was just crazy talk from someone who knows nothing about guns and ammo and he proved that with that statem,ent.

Most here in N.Y.S. believe the 7 round s apply to side arms too. Hope we're wrong but it doesn't look that way.
