Having a blast with our new M62

I use a lot of grease per year. 70-80 cartridges. I cringe at the thought of expensive cartridges. I can pull the T handle.

Certainly far different from my situation (and probably from most of the readers, though many do have similar circumstances to you I'd guess.) Going thru that much grease, I'd assume you would use a compressed air driven system sucking from a drum rather than cartridges. No ?

Nope, use cartridges. No patience for having to go back to the drum when empty. I use a battery powered gun.

I have 2 hand lever style and a pneumatic at my place, one has a needle on it for a couple of fitting that need that.
At the farm there are at least 5-6 mostly lever a couple of the squeeze style.
All of these are cartridge style have looked at the lock and lube foot operated one that takes bulk.
We like the cartridges as it stays clean. The bulk dispensers in a dust and dirty farm shop and greasing equipment out in the field
just catch to much grit and dust by the time the follower plate is down to the bottom it is covered with crap.
Cartridges and a rag everything stays clean.
We use enough that it seems like someone is picking up a case every week in the summer.

I have two hand lever styles and a brand new Lincoln pneumatic (never used).
Last night I bought a 20V DeWalt grease gun on E-Bay,..... because I already have DeWalt 20V batteries.
I use my tractors very infrequently, but even so I do not grease often enough.
I am hoping that the battery powered gun will make greasing much less of a hassle.

Are the M59 and the M62 quick disconnect ears the same and better yet are they the same as the U25 excavator? I致e got a ripper that I built a few years ago. I was wanting to cut the pins off and weld the ears on it but I haven稚 found to fit.

I am pretty sure the answer is yes, but I would confirm with Kubota. I was looking at a fab company last year for a ripper and they listed them under the excavators, but when I called they said they were compatible with the QD on the TLB BHs.

Same, grease is cheap enough there is no reason to make a mess. Now if I had 5 machines to grease up ...

I don't have any pictures but I will get some as soon as it dries out a little.

It really isn't anything fancy though. I just welded these -->
Kubota U25 Excavator Quick Attach Plates Bucket ears attachment adaptor | eBay

to my auger (originally used on the loader of my Mahindra before I traded it for the M62)-->
Lowe 75 Hex Classic Auger Unit - Skid Steer Attachment Depot

It is just as easy to hook up as any QD bucket (well... plus the 2 hoses).

Nice. I will be waiting on those pictures. Looks like same auger I used in one of my videos. I borrowed it from a ranch where I work part time.

I would imagine the M59 and M62 are the same. In fact I read a thing one time they got they 62 horsepower by taking off the engine fan. I think its the same as the M59 except just a couple things like emissions, no clutch, etc.

I apologize in advance for being way off the M62 topic but I didn't start it ... You have no advance in the grease gun beyond 100 year old technology...not much anyway. To get some real breakthrough in grease gunning take a look at the German designed screw in cartridge type. No mess. No plunger to pull. No gawd awful process that we all cringe at and most think there is no alternative...The screw in cartridges are self-priming (and also reloadable but with an expensive gadget...). I do not yet own them (because of the price and $17 shipping to get more cartridges...) but I guarantee you this will eventually takeover the US market for grease guns. Only a matter of time. Google "Lube Shuttle" or "Air-Tec" for the current stuff.

If a grease gun has a T-handle it is OLD technology.

Once American distributors get into this, the abominable shipping cost hurdle goes away. I've seen videos with John Deere packaging of these things (green and yellow) which is probably some trial balloon marketing test. I've yet to find a dealer who knows anything about it.

Interesting.
