out in colorado the hay is real high this year. Small bales are going from $5.50 to $12.50 per bale depending on how hard your willing to work for it. LOL Anyway my general rule of thumb is the 4x4x8 bales run about 2000lbs that would give you about 30, 35 small bales out here. The man I bought from last year 3x3x8 bales for 120 per ton was 160 per ton this year. SOOO we bought in Kansas for $3.25 per bale smalls. I then sold to my shoer for $7.50 per bale. Delivered.
