Does anybody have any experience with a hay fork on a JD 4720 with a 400X loader? I am going to need to add a hay fork to my toy box, and I am looking for advice.

Thanks,
D.

Not sure what you mean by a hay fork ??

For round bales? square? loose?

The deer 'forks' that attach to the FEL quicktach have a hay bale spike, but suspect you are looking for something else.

If you're looking for something to move round bales just get the quick attach bale spike like been there said. In a minute you can go from the bucket to the bale spike. It keeps your center of gravity back and works great. It's easy to go in loose or tightly packed bales.

Thanks for the info, my terminology was off- I meant hay spike. OK, I will buzz my JD dealer.

Thanks,

I tried an aftermarket spike and it sucked. I swapped it back for a john deere unit and it rocks.
