Oh yes! Taking it easy, sitting around and twiddling my thumbs patiently awaiting the "all clear". :D

Yeah right... :D

How are you doing Bill?

Be well,
David

Oh, I feel fine, thanks very much...want to hear my solution for those who think they have too many health problems?

Go to a doctor, and ask if you can have one of those patient health question forms you fill out, then run down the list of medical issues you can check off as "Do you currently have, or have you ever had..."

Okay now, how many medical issues do those forms say you COULD have, and how many of them do you ACTUALLY have as you are reading that LONG list? Two, three, maybe four?

So, isn't it great to be so healthy? No charge for the consultation. :) :)

Not trying to be critical, but I detest the appearance of those type of bikes, personally...THAT think is QUIET AND COMFORTABLE...? Sorry, to me the general looks of those reminds me of something out of a "Mad Max" film. I am 60 years old and quite fit but would have a hard time swinging a leg over that seat. Give me a Low Rider any day.

I will readily admit the appearance of the bike is a little hard to swallow. I was sold when I test rode it though. The upright position and placement of the bars works better for me since my back surgery. It's sounds nothing like the traditional Ducati bikes as long as it's left stock. It's very quiet compared to the Harley's. Since I got this bike, it's my main commuter where I use it so much, I'm lucky if I put more than 4000 miles on my truck in a year. And with the price of gas going up all the time, I'm spending less money every week

I am not familiar with the newer Ducati bikes, which model is that?

Multistrada 1200. It's their touring model. I don't have a pic of the panniers on but it's nothing like their racing bikes. It has the ABS and traction control as well as the ability to adjust the horse power from 150 down to 90 which makes is much safer when riding in the rain.

Looks good to me  Is there a purpose for the secondary, lower rear fender ... the horizontal-ish one ... or just for looks?

The horizontal one is a mud guard as this bike is made for use on dirt roads if needed. The second one is a rain guard on the back of the wheel which stops the rooster tail of rain coming back up and soaking your back.

That thing really has some nice features and I really like the riding position, my sons have run Ninjas etc. and I couldn't even ride the darn things.

With my short legs, I probably couldn't have gotten on that Ducati either, but it's a nice bike.

I have not followed this thread but will comment on the title.

The Harley culture is not something I have ever been part of myself, but have seen it first hand since my brother, brother in law and sister all have Harley's, and have had all their adult lives. But they are 10 years older than me, so I missed that generation.

They have a special comradery that is unequaled by any other group IMO.
By putting that line in the obit I think the family is just pointing out his affiliation in that fraternity if you will. I see it all the time myself.

Those with club ties have even tighter bonds. On the subject of dieing, they have a graveyard run once a year were they will visit all the graves of their lost friends, which is pretty cool.
