thanks guys, I don't think the stock radio does. HD but not XM/Sirius. I'm already paying for XM in two cars, it really annoys me for a single guy with two cars and an rv, that they still make me pay full freight for another vehicle. Like I'm going to be in all three at the same time? There is an add on gizmo I know I can get and it goes in the external input jack of the radio. I might check into that. Yeah, I pretty much flip between country, old R&R classics, and a few other stations with softer music.
But no talk radio. Just never got into it, I once tried listening to training tapes for a securities exam and almost rearended someone not paying enough attention.
Out came the tapes/discs forever. Maybe I get too distracted/too "into it".

I do have a satellite dish and maybe I can get Pandora music through that. It's an in-motion satellite receiver so on highways it should keep up.
It has never worked right since we got it, took two trips and it would never come on. Original dealer blamed it entirely on us, operator error.
I owned a Radio Shack for five years. It wasn't us... Maybe it will work, should test it out today, actually.

I am off in a moment on a more important mission. Turned the propane heat on in the rv and after awhile smelled propane.
Not good. Turned everything off and worked my way through each appliance. Everything was fine.
Now I go out to test the furnace...that's where the issue is I bet. And they doublechecked everything and put a wrench on everything, leak tested,
very thorough. No way I'm driving anywhere if I smell gas. I would like to drive to the next county, not land in it.

bummer. gas smell again this morning. Appt made to take it back again to the dealer, an hour away.
Better now than later for sure. At least it's warm enough I can use the heat pump today.
Already taken about ten loads to the rv, time for a break and a cup of coffee. am experimenting with each plastic container, figuring out which fits in
which storage locker the best, a bit of a puzzle. But the rv has plenty of storage, certainly just for me.

Propane smell can come from many places. Bad stove valves, overfilled propane tank, over charging batteries, DSI on furnace, fridge and water heater failing. Stove valves failing are hard to find. Use a butane lighter to test all connections.

As far as music, if you have a laptop or a phone that you can do "apps" with, to get into the Texas Spirit, you can go to 959theranch.com and stream their music. I do that often when on the computer, at home. Luckily for me, I am often close enough to the station, I can listen in my truck, whenever I am on the road.

I have about 800pieces of music, that i have specially selected, on a USB stick plugged into the radio. On sequential play I can do about 12 hours traveling before hearing the same song twice. However hearing 10 or 12 Louis Armstrong or 15 or 20 DJangoReinhardt /Stephane Grapellie one after another gets old fairly quickly so random play it is.

Similarly, I have a 4GB USB stick that plugs into my radio which I fill with random selection of music from the collection on my computer.

that's a good idea, pretty sure the head unit has a USB port but I forgot to look today. I know it has a mini jack, not sure of the other.
I'll look tomorrow.

I got this from my brother in law and enjoyed it so much I thought I would share it with you.
And the best part is they framed the original and will give it to me on Sunday to put in the rv. Nice.

Did your nephew or niece draw this? If so, you could get some flowers just like those in the drawing and take a photo from outside the window and send back while you're on the road.

wingsprd, actually the artist is almost my age, my BIL who runs a health care foundation and wears a suit all day. But at night, his sketch book comes out and he makes the most marvelous personalized pics/cartoons for family.

Standing at the Grand Canyon is so inspirational that it is even more horrible for a tragedy like this to have happened.

I can't remember if this park was on your map, but if so, there are many safe places to look over the edge, but better yet, go to a trail head and hike down, if only for an hour - the experience is so different, especially if you can venture down even further.

Also, make reservations to eat in the historic El Tovar dining room - my wife had duck and voted it her favorite meal ever.

"Slowin' Down to Take a Look" in Winslow, Arizona .. Included, of course, is "a girl, my lord, in a flat bed Ford slowin' down to take a look at me."

appears i'll be driving right on by on Route 66. I should stop for this.

One of my favourite T shirts (I like understated...), no Pic, just said:

I Stood on the Corner

Winslow Arizona

in a nice looking small crest.

Saw a guy wearing one, in Northern Ontario, of all places..... if'n'when I do that part of 66, I'll have to see if I can find one...... ordering it online feels like All Sorts of Wrong !

boy this made me chuckle, a first in my rv park hunting. The park I had picked for seeing New Orleans was in East St Louis and I wondered if I could get
closer in without sitting on a busy highway. And what do i find?...
100 sites and big rig rated.

I bet they mean you are only supposed to be naked inside your own rv. I'm sure that has to be it. ;)

my friends who moved to Lafayette, CO from very nearby where I live here, said I can't miss the trains.
and I won't, a train museum sounds like great fun. A good outing for us two guys.

have everything loaded over into my laptop, made sure the web email worked, getting all my little details worked out.
bought some drawer organizers and drawer slides to install in the motorhome. Pulling out twenty cans of stuff to get at the one in the back
is a pain, trying to reduce it on several drawers. Particularly if they are down low or hi.

getting the motorhome oil and filter changed on Wednesday and then will bring it home to pack for a week before I head out. Figure that gives me enough time
to pack stuff away properly, get what I forgot, hang a little artwork, and maybe one last wax at least on the front of the rv.
getting ready and getting excited. reminds me of going to florida on the intercoastal, 30 days on the water. This will be at least 90, maybe 100 days.

I bet the anticipation is killing you! I've also been champing at the bit to get started, need to check and pack the wheel bearings on the 5th wheel, get the truck serviced , then I'll be ready to go. I've had all the non perishable stuff loaded for over a month now.
