Hello;
The site amigauser posted offers the heater I bought for $236.99. I'm paying the factory $264.00. But, I will get it quicker from the factory. I promise to keep yall posted as things move along.
thanks, nicholas
Last time I talked to Amanda she said they were about 200 units behind.Did they give you a ship date? If you can,forward me that email they sent in regard to the BTU output. gregb at etczone dot com. They changed the output ratings on their heaters when they started using the RuCar elements.I was also skeptical of the output ratings and they said they would send an email with an explanation but I never received one.The latest one I got from them does get very hot and heats my somewhat small cab very well.It's the 24V/45 amp model that,according to the Volt/Amp gauge is soaking up a little over 1325 Watts.Wish I had some way to measure the output.
Anyway, I would suggest either 8 or 6 gauge wire directly to the battery,and have the engine running before you turn the heater on.These heaters like an ample amount of power or they won't work right-ie from the battery alone the voltage will drop like a rock with a sudden 50amp load,unless you're using a very large battery.
Let me know how it works.
