Heat Gun Saves The Day!

To All:

I want to thank everyone for their responses and it is obvious that I lived through the experience :)! In hindsight I have become rather careless with the use of my electric heatgun. My carelessness comes from too many years using my wife's hairdryer warming my old Ford 1100 without problem. I will admit that I used the heatgun on high heat setting, but at some distance from the sediment bowl and fuel lines. I could have had an unpleasant surprise . I will have to rethink where I get my diesel fuel, but the school buses and commercial drivers still buy their fuel at this station. I used to add kerosene to the old tractor, but with all the new diesel additives paired with the addition of Power Service I was afraid to use anything else. I should have used my engine block heater, but with temperatures at freezing it seemed rather balmy after several days of subzero temperatures (ambient and windchill). In "normal" winter situations I will always plug in the tractor when temperatures are below freezing. The diesel fuel appeared "ungelled" with my most recent check on my sediment bowl. I hope the #2 is now out of the system. Jay
