8561 . . . that hydraulic top link will make your life easy with those the pallet fork, in fact you might want to take that off and try it with a manaul top link just to see what a pain in the rear it is NOT to have a hydraulic top link . . . you'll appreciate it more if you try it the manual way /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Jim . . . I agree with everything you said about building the pallet fork set ups. My set up is sort of a mixture of new and used parts, I had the 3pt A frame from a Howse sub-soiler/middle buster and figured it would make a good starting point for several modular implements. I have a sod-cutter in the works too, I edge around the lovely Mrs_Bob's planting beds with stone, so I need to cut those edges by hand (but only until I get my sod cutter welded up) it will also attach to the same Howse A frame with top link pins.

And I've aready ATTEMPTED to lift more than the tractor can lift with the pallet forks. In fact I have 3 pallets of cut limestone in the front yard that need to go to the back yard and each will have to be partially unloaded into the FEL bucket so the 3pt can move the pallets to the back. But its something I can live with, it sure beats lifting ALL of the stones by hand. I bring pallets of mulch home on my trailer and simply drive them right off and haul them right to where they need to go! I've done the same with large concrete planters and stone benches. I love pallet forks!

I don't have a hydraulic top link yet, but I find that I can substitute a chain with a grab hook for loads that In want to dump such as fire wood, just means that I have to climb down to rehook, but my box has a back on it that I have to relatch anyway.. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
