I've pulled my 3400# camper (17ft) on an 3PT A-frame w/2" ball, all over my property, with a JD 322 - L&G tractor. /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif (Just be slow & safe.) /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif....RayBee
With my TN75, I've moved my dual wheel flatbed with the 2120 on it. Combined weight must be in the 10,000# region. I hardly notice I'm pulling it. Be careful on hills as the weight will try and push you around. How's your TN. Been having fun making hugh piles of snow with mine.Trailer is Pintle hook and I just pinned it to drawbar connected between 3 point hitch arms. Just keep them low to keep weight down.Andy
I got this link this morning via email. Tractor guys, it's a wonder they find the time for interest in other things, like to make families......../w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
We're busier than a one legged man trying to out run a bare, er, uh, bear!
Life is good, plenty of projects. You need to come by and visit with Lucy. You will like her. She's a little trampy looking, red, flashy, but she is strong!
Yeah, I got the information back there in the idea kitchen cooking. It might take a month, maybe a year, or two, but when it's done....................../w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
I've pulled a heaped full, 225 bushel capacity single axle manure spreader up a long hill and through a soft field. I have no idea on the loaded weight, but empty the dry weight of the spreader is approximately 3,000 pounds.
I know it was a load. When I engaged the PTO to empty the spreader, the tractor snubbed out. High RPM's and engaging the PTO while rolling in 2nd gear of low range was the only way to make this operation work. Normally this spreader is pulled out behind a large gas engine IH.
I'm looking to purchase (not make - I don't have the time nor tools) a 3-pt receiver attachment that I can fit my truck trailer receivers into. This would allow me to move the boats, small trailers, and my 10K trailer around quite easily. If anyone can direct me to a manufacturer that has one I'd buy it today. That way I can use the receivers that I have and not have a fixed ball - plus use the 3-pt to raise the trailer up and down when I move it.
Anyone seen such an animal? think of your receiver setup on the back of your trucks (my Yukon Xl has one) and that's what I'm looking for - but hooked to a 3-pt.
