Given this is an intro to the forms, I guess I should go over my background. Born and raised in the "Sticks" of upstate New York. I worked with farmers and such from age 10. Somewhere along the line I slid over into the IT relm, roughly the age of seventeen. I was taught to learn as many skills as possible. If a professional was willing to teach you paid attention. So, while I was venturing through my IT career I always kept multiple jobs, mostly with contractors.
My elders I grew up around always had a passion for anything with an engine. I learned to operate heavy equipment very early in life, and always kept that as a hobby. I must say it has served my primary job (IT) quite well. Where most of my peers could't get outside the box, I've excelled in this area. I tell everyone one of them that ask me how it comes so easy, "Find a farmer and go to work with them for a few years." I've learned a great respect for the contribution that farmers provide. Yeah they can be a bit hardened at times, but when you've worked along side them it's no longer off putting. Actually, it's a new found respect for knowledge and perseverance. Sadly, it's becoming a lost trade traditionally speaking.
