I've been lurking for a while and have learned quite a bit from you guys. Thanks! :D Due this board I purchased a 2350 late this summer. Great tractor. Much more useful than the old Economy tractor that I had and one of the few purchases that I have made that actually exceeds my expectaions!
I do have some issues though; The seat is awful but due to the info here, my dealer is replacing it with the new design! I guess thats some sort of "If they don't ask, we arent going to tell" policy.
Here are some issues that I cannot find on the board. If you have any ideas, they would be greatly appreciated.
1. I have a "bump" due to mower bouncing on the frame when locked in the up position. I can't find out how to adjust it.
2. It runs hot (at least the temp guage says it is) after prolonged use. Not dust build up either.
3. It creeps at times.
Thanks, Bill

Congratulations on your new ride and welcome to TBN. I also lurked around here for years before making the jump to a BX 2350. I have dealer butt time on both seats and the new seat makes me wonder what the Kubota guys were thinking when they sent the old seat to market.

On the bump side of things I have been doing a good deal of FEL work with the deck on and if I'm a little ruff on the tractor I do have the deck slap the mounting but in general use I have not had any issue.

On the running hot I have mowed on 95+ degree days with no issue and you have checked the screen and I assume the coolant level? I would get right on this with the dealer as it's not right. Seems there was someone on here with a overheating BX and if memory serves me a radiator replacement did the trick but there could be air pockets or circulation problems also.

As for the creeps at times I assume you mean without applying the HST pedal and while on level ground? If this is the case I have not experienced this and it seems like another issue for the dealer and could be related to the overheating if the HST is not disengaging properly.

Thanks for the reply. I should have used a different title for the post. It will go in tomorrow or Friday for the 50 hour and the seat.
I really don't think that it is overheating. No boilover or hot smell. I keep it very clean so there is no problem with a stopped up rad.
I'll ask about the mower deck adjustment and post if I learn anything.
The BX is a grass cutting fool though and the yard looks nice! I am amazed that a tractor so small can do the work that is does. I was almost going to by the deere but the ropes was too high and it was otherwise built cheaply compared to the bota.
I am pleased with it...and thats saying a lot from me!;)

Brass,
I'd have to agree with Adam23 on the creep. As far as the "bump" goes, mine did the same thing. I found that the mmm deck was making contact with the frame (right side front) on mine. I do not think that there is any real adjustement for it other than to pad the contact area. I simply cut a small square of rubber and gorilla glued it the the deck. You may even want to use an old shock (rubber) bushing. It still thumps once in a while, but it doesn't make so much noise.

Mine was ok when it was new. Now, when I pull the mmm up, set the knob to "top" and release the mmm, the rear of the deck drops a little and I get the noise.

Brass, same here. That's when I added the pad. The only adjustment that I can think of would be for the lower lift arms (that attach to the rear of the deck). By adjusting these, you may send your deck out of level unless you adjust the the front as well. Find the location that is making contact with the frame when the deck is raised and add a cushion.

Got the 50 hour service today. The new seat is GREAT! They did not know how to fix the deck adjustment stop though.

Mine will bounce when on the upper stop or lower stop. I keep in between and it does OK. My MMM is only on when I am mowing, so it's not really a persistent nuisance for me.

Did they comment on how they did this because this is the first post I have seen that suggests a cure for this VERY aggravating problem.

I can ask. They were fixing my complaint that it was "creeping" forward on me. Works real nice now. Still firm but I no longer worry that I'll knock myeslf unconsious when stopping in reverse:eek:
