Hello out there;
I wanted to be able to communicate with other owners of the Ingersol/Case 442 owners and or anyone that can give me some insight on my garden tractor. I purchased my Ingersol/ Case 442 tractor 5 years ago for $600.
It came with a snowblower attachment, a mower and a blade assembly for plowing snow. This tractor has an Onan 16 horse engine and has been pretty dependable until the last couple of months. I cannot start this tractor because the starter is shot. My dilemma is getting a replacement starter which will interchange with the outdated starter that I took off of my tractor. The Part number that I found listed is a Delco- 11019701 (A70202) . I have been looking everywhere to get a replacement , even an aftermarket brand that will work with my 12 volt system. If anyone can point me in the right direction , I would greatly appreciate it. Delco no longer manufactures or stocks this starter. I would even accept a used starter at this juncture or one for parts that has a good case with the magnets intact with the case. The armature and brushes on my starter is good but the magnets came apart on the inside of my starter. This tractor has been a great asset in all seasons and I want to be able to use it again.
Thank you,
