Hello from Pensacola

Obviously new to the forum. Buying some acreage for recreational hunting fishing. In the market for a tractor to maintain the plots, roads and grass. I have some issues with bee stings so looking at a cab tractor. I do not need a big tractor but every one a talk to says, do not buy to small. I am thinking 35-40 HP. I have manu toys but never bought a tractor so reading the expert advice here. Property in Alabama, flat and loaded with wildlife. Looking forward to making it mine.

Welcome to the forum. You didn't say how many acres you are buying, but I would think 35 hp would be adequate for a lot of uses. My grandparents got by quite well with a 8N Ford on 40 acres, those are 25 horse.

Thanks to all. Buying 40 acres but will expand to about 130. Just looking for plot planting and road maintenance. Have a 1 acre pond with tons of fish so also need to keep that clean.
