I'm new here. Have a Yanmar YM2000B for hobby farm use in SW MO. Thought maybe I'd find some good info on maintenance/accessories/etc.

Left brake was stuck. Took it apart and cleaned it up. Lubed cams, shoes in excellent shape. Replaced springs (which were not bad) with new, new gasket and correct replacement cover (Broke the original getting it off). All reinstalled as per the way it came off.

When I lifted the brake operating rod to reattach to the actuater, it was too long. Pushed the pedal down and fastened it in place and the rod still stuck about 2" farther back than the actuating pivot on the cover. How can this be and what did I miss?
