Hello from a soon-to-be new Kubota owner! I want to say thank you to all who have taken the time to contribute in-depth reviews on this site- the information was invaluable as I was evaluating tractors. We have about 2 acres about 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia, PA that has some fairly steep slopes/hills. I decided to go with the BX2360 with a FEL, 60" MMM and the grasscatcher (for leaf pickup in the fall and for composting). The local Kubota dealer was at the house yesterday with the tractor I am buying to let me drive it around and make sure it could handle all of the hills, which it was able to do (although one hill definitely made me a little nervous with the FEL on!). The one thing I'm regretting now is that I bought a Deere snowblower in Fall 2010- after seeing the front blower for the Kubota, I think I'd rather have that!
Hopefully the tractor will be delivered later this week- had to have the MMM and the grasscatcher mounted, as well as the Mackissic chipper that I decided on- now I'll be able to get rid of all the branch piles stacked up around the house!
One other really important question- my three year old son saw me riding the tractor yesterday, and the first thing he asked when I came back inside was "Daddy, can I get a tractor too?" So of course there's no way I can say no to that- does anyone have any suggestions/opinions for toy tractors for kids? I came across a Deere 12V tractor (couldn't seem to find any Kubota ones- not sure if he'll care that it's a different color!) that got pretty good reviews- does anyone have experience with those?
Thanks in advance!!!
