Backhoe Help Backhoe needed for 4720 CAB

I wish the salesman had explained that the JD backhoes are not an option. I am stuck with a 3 pt right?, is a power beyond kit even available? I have to get a backhoe this week, no looking around, no fooling around, I have to get one on tuesday for a job, I will buy on your recomendations. Thank you, and stay cool. Owen.

I owned a 4400 TLB and thougt it was great until I bought a deere 35 mini x.
I used the tractor backhoe only once after i got the mini.My best day on the tractor was 66' ft a hour,my best day on the mini was 180' ft a hour.The tractor number was not my first ditch it was my last on thr tractor,both ditchs are 1' wide and 2' deep.
So what I'm saying is rent a mini for your digging jobs and don't buy a backhoe.I sold my 4400 TLB and bought 3720 w/t cab and love it!!!

P.S. Run a mini-x once and you won't go back.

I am buying it for the company that I work for. We have several mini-hoes they are nice but have a place also, we have many trenchers that do that job even faster. We are looking for the tractor trailering a distance, diging a few tree holes, using forks on the front to transport the balled tree and place it in the hole. Take the hoe off the 4720 put on a bush hog and mow a near by field, I guess what I am saying is we need the functions of a tractor and the ability of a small hoe. Thanks for the input. I am looking at a taylor back hoe in the morning. thanks.

Did you ever come up with a backhoe for your cab tractor?? How did it turn out if you did?? Most of the 3 point backhoes I have seen use a pto pump so a power beyond kit is not needed as it is not avaliable on a cab tractor.

When that question came up here I sent an e-mail to Woods and they responded not only with an e-mail that they did have an X model available but sent a copy of the install manual. They have a kit that T's into the line to the loader valve and powers the hoe.

My dealer has two cab tractors equipped with Woods backhoes setting on his lot right now, looks like a nice set-up.

I know that my John Deere dealer has a guy at the shop make diffrent brackets so you can use a 448 backhoe on a cab tractor.
