I need a bit of assistance. I can't identify this tiller. The seller cannot either. I think it's a Nortrac mispelled on the ID Plate, but maybe not. It's only 1 year old. Does anybody recognize this one? Thanks!

I have done some more research, with little result. Did HF sell a tiller series last year and before and discontinue selling them?

I'm just trying to find out if it's worth buying, and how much I should pay for it if I do buy it. It's 6' wide.

Thanks for any help.

Sure looks like a Nortrac tiller, just black instead of orange.

I also found an e-bay listing that showed a tiller identical to yours. Said it was a Nortrac 38 knife rotary tiller, model number 1GQN-160. I don't think I am supposed to post a link to e-bay though.
The e-bay tiller sold for $501.00 and looked fairly used, had a couple missing knives and one broken.
Good luck

That is a Nortrac ID plate which is sold through Northern Tool.
It is a China made tiller.

Thanks, all. That's funny that the name is mispelled! The seller is asking $750, and it was used only a couple of times.

I had a 47" Chinese tiller with my Jinma tractor. It worked well, but I didn't use it all that much on hard ground. I did break one tine. It did not have flanges where the knives attached, rather it had rectangular receptacles that the knife inserted into and was bolted thru. With the flange setup, is it possible to attached better knives?

I'd give $500. Gonna cost you at least $250 to get the name plate changed. :D Reminds of a place I use to visit for the government many year ago. The place made different thing for the government, including teletype machines. It was called Miltope. When the company was formed someone misspelled the correct name on the legal documents. Miltape. They said it was too big a deal to fix once it got noticed.
