Help choosing old small tractor

Soundguy,
If you'd filled that tub with ice and your favorite drink, it wouldn't be as good for ballast, but you'd have a lot of friends following you around.

Soundguy, it was your setup that I was thinking about, but yours was done much more inexpensivley that I remembered.

I love the way you fixed up the connections.

The 1,500 lb rating per trailer tire only means the tires can carry 3,000 total together. It has nothing to do with the trailer capacity. If you subtract the weight of the trailer itself, you're capacity is probably 2,400 or less, which is just a guess.

Hey.. i was aiming for cheap, and got there.

The tub was more or less free, as it was a left over cattle feed tub. I used an old drawbar, and bolted it to the bottom of the tub and left the bolts sticking up inthe tub about 6" to anchor to the concrete. Toplink connection is just a flat with holes , cut in 2 pieces. Paid 7 bucks for the flat.. 2 bucks for the nuts/bolts, and 6 or 7 bucks for a few backs of sackkrete..

If I ever toss the concrete chunk, I can spinn 2 nuts off the bottom and salvage my drawbar...

I'm glad you added this description. I was wondering what you used for the mount.

Even if one had to buy a new horizontal draw bar, it would be inexpensive to build this. Very inventive and quite utilitarian!

The tub is just there to hold the 'crete till it sets. Even a thin throw away one.. perhaps a large tub from a plant nursery .. you might get one for a buck.. or free.. one of the bigger 10-20g ones. Just tape up the inside with duck tape to cover the holes..

Half a 55g drum works too

My experience is to spend a little more and get a tractor u can do work with instead of a tractor you can do work on.
