Help! I need legal advice re: easements

Well that was fun!
We had a case management hearing where we tell the judge how much progress we have made.
Basically we want to try mediation one last time so the judge postponed setting a trial for 60 days.
Then we step into the hall to arrange dates for mediation and one of my lawyers and the evil neighbor's lawyer get in a shouting match! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Evil neighbor lawyer shouts how my lawyer is the worst lawyer in the county and every other lawyer knows it etc etc. I was waiting for them to start wrestling around on the floor! My other attorney (supplied by insurance) said he has never seen anything like it and felt embarrased for the profession.
This is not being played out like you see on TV

If I was not laughing I would be crying... The whole situation

I wonder what the judge thought of the lawyers behavior...

You have my sympathy and I hope you can get this resolved

Of course I know absolutely nothing about the lawyers in question, but I do know that many lawyers are also good actors. I've seen instances in which you'd have sworn two lawyers were going to come to blows when I knew it was all part of the game and show for their clients when they were actually good friends, golfing buddies, etc. and may have even orchestrated the eventual outcome in advance. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I seriously doubt these two are friends.
I'm also glad I have the insurance lawyer in here to provide another point of view.
Hopefully we can bring them to their senses in with deposition and mediation.

You probably know this but the lawyer for the insurance company is there to represent the insurance company's interests - not necessarily yours.

Yes, thats why I am keeping the original lawyer - both of us are keeping an eye on him.
Although, as its been explained to me, he can't make any agreements that i dont agree to and seems to be addressing my concerns, so far...

Well mdbarb I have to say you have the patience of a saint. I'm afraid I'd be in the poky if I where in your shoes, because I probably would have gotten fed up and done something stupid by now. Hang in there; I'm sure we are all pulling for you.

Yeah maybe I should hold out for a book deal or minseries.
Update is my wife and I have finished our depositions and theirs is coming up in May. Then another attempt at mediation before the Main Event.
Sidebar - their septic system has just failed /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif(they tried to repair it without a permit while I was in deposition /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif) I figure it was bad Karma. The county put a stop to it until they file a permit. But it looks like the leech line extends into my property which means they have a problem... a big problem. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
