Recently acquired a 790, under the seat were two wires twisted together...assume these are for seat switch to ignition?

There is also a hydraulic male connector under the seat, I'm not savvy about power beyond kits but pretty sure this is not one...so what's its function?

Under the seat, not attached, just sitting there loose, is the part in the second pic. wtf is that?

The last pic looks like it could be part of the seat suspension ??

1) The wires are for a seat switch. :checkmark:

2) The hydraulic fitting was probably used as a fluid return port. :checkmark: What should be there is the cap and dipstick to check the fluid level to the hydraulic system.

3) The third piece is part of the seat assembly. It is used to raise the seat a little and be able to run the rear PTO while the seat is empty. I suspect that the wires were spliced together to defeat the switch operations. :checkmark:

#2 - Fitting is where there was a filler cap but the dipstick is in the first/second picture, lower right, with the yellow 'umbrella' handle.

#3 - I recall that the option to run the PTO with empty seat has been discontinued from 7/8/955's and you can no longer buy the actual switch. The replacement switch is configured differently. So I suspect this 790 has the same thinking and that seat actuator plate was removed as a result perhaps? (It was only fitted to early S/n's >790000)

No probs. With age comes wisdom! :)

It's a nuisance having the fitting in the top there as it makes it awkward to fill the trans with oil.

I suppose a funnel on a hose with a female coupling to that male fitting would be a useful local tool. Even then, the M & F fittings are the wrong way around in my opinion.
