I've had this cutter for a few years, got it from an auction. It's about the heaviest rotary cutter I've come across. Has a number (serial I'm guessing) welded into it 28492. Just trying to see what it is. Thanks for the help.

With a welded in number, that sounds like a home built machine. High number for something like that, but who knows. It looks stout as can be for sure.
Perhaps it started as a commercial unit, and then went to the Mad Max finishing school...
