Checked mail today, No JD 790 Shop Manual on CD nor (2) ordered Relays
dieselcrawler, Zebrafive,
As they say: "Good News for Modern Man"........an hour after my quote above UPS showed-up and WHAA-LAA, parts & CD.........
First thing I did was to check the battery current again @ Noon today, 12V strong although the JD Battery was purchased in 2011 (a bit worried when I saw the receipt) I think after this episode I'll go-ahead & purchase a replacement after I remove the FEL & before I mount the JD 59" Front Mount Snow blower. Been reading Interstate is pretty good but I'll check-out threads on TBN...... Don't need a dead battery in the middle of a storm........
I didn't plan on returning the new OEM relays so installed both of them (really tight in there, didn't want to remove instrument panel) lots of Navy Language coming out

re-taped the K2 Fuel Relay harness behind the Ignition switch Panel, noticed a little critter munching on the 650 Wht/Blu wire jacket so taped-it-up tight. Plugged in the Ignition Switch Panel and first try, Y2 Fuel Shutoff Solenoid (still out) stong retract.........O-YEA !!!

So, not done yet, the space to install the Solenoid is really tight :smiley_aafz: also have to locate the old O ring, didn't see it pop-off, I suspect more Navy Language coming out but hopefully I'll get it finished today..........
So, dieselcrawler, Zebrafive, I want to thank you for the hand-holding & spoon-feeding of one who hasn't messed with this stuff before. :applause: Let's see, spent $32.80 X 2 for the Relays, $52.00 for Shop Manual on CD (always nice to have) and $1.64 for a replacement Rubber O Ring for the Solenoid + TOTAL: $119.25 vs. the local JD pick-up/deliver charges of $250.00 before even addressing the issue I'm feeling GREAT so.........Cheese & HOT Jalapeno Nachos + Multiple Perfect Margaritas :drink:
