That's what I think happened- It was my first night using it and it was dark, but I think it happened when I ran the front tires up on a snow bank, trying to dump the loader over the 5' high berm. I got stuck and used the bucket to push myself back. I'm pretty sure that I lifted the front of the tractor too far and grounded the blade on the pavement.

Thanks for the tips on the link- it was adjusted by the JD shop when they mounted the blade for me. The blade arm is level, so I guess it is adjusted right. I'll see what the replacement piece looks like.

I'd still like to put a hydraulic link there- I figure then I can shorten that up and that would raise the blade by at least another 6", which would give me more clearance for turning around on the drive way and all.

Here is a shot of the melted-down berms I was trying to deal with. This shot is standing in the switchback, looking up-hill. It was coming down this stretch in the Jeep that was tough- can only throw snow down-hill, had to keep up the speed to throw over the berms, but slow down enough to make the corner.

Of course at the time, it was a sheet of ice. This is after several weeks of melt-down.

At the peak, I measured 40# per square foot of water content on my deck.
